Dying your hair can be a fun and simple way to change up your look.
Unfortunately, repeated use of chemicals and certain hair products can cause the hair to become brittle and damaged.
We are going to share with you a few ways you can temporarily darken your hair without spending a fortune on chemicals that aren’t really good for you anyway.
Naturally Coloring for Brunettes
You can easily bring out those natural highlights by mixing about a tablespoon of cocoa powder with 2 tbsp. Shampoo. Mix through hair and use a wide tooth comb to evenly spread mixture. Rinse with lukewarm water and enjoy your shiny natural highlights.
Darken Your Hair with A Black Tea Hair Rinse
Brew yourself a cup of black tea, then add 1 cup of distilled water at room temperature. Add one tablespoon of honey and a few drops of vanilla essential oils.
Once mixture is cooled, rinse through hair while in the shower and use a brush or comb to evenly distribute through hair.
Rinse hair and apply a light conditioner. The black tea darkens and provides antioxidants to the scalp helping to stimulate blood flow. The honey adds shine and increases softness.
