Replenish and nourish dry, damaged and brittle hair using an avocado and plain Greek yogurt.
Long term use of hair dyes and other store bought products will cause your hair to dry out and become damaged.
Not only do avocados taste delicious, they are great for using in a mask for strengthening hair follicles and promoting healthy growth.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Coconut Milk
1 avocado
2 tbsp. Plain Greek Yogurt
1 tbsp. Shea Butter (Optional)
1 tbsp. Honey
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
Essential Oils
Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit. In a medium size mixing bowl, mash the avocado and add the remaining ingredients.
Mix together thoroughly until a smooth and creamy texture. Apply to hair and distribute from scalp to ends.
If you want to use any essential oils for an added scent. Lavender, vanilla and citrus all work great for this mix.
Massage the ends of your hair using your finger tips. Do the same thing on your scalp
Let the mixture sit in your hair for 7 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.
The yogurt helps to moisturize while the honey is rich in vitamins and keeps your hair feeling soft. The coconut milk is rich in proteins and keeps your hair replenished and hydrated, preventing from breakage.
You can also add 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar to the mixture for added softness and to make your hair extra shiny.
