We put together a few tips and tricks for you to keep your hair looking healthy and beautiful.
Don’t wash your hair everyday.
It may sound crazy and you night think your hair will look more greasy. Every time you shampoo, you are removing the natural oils from your hair and scalp, causing your body to produce more oil.
The more oil your body produces, the greasier looking your hair will be. Try going every other day or shampoo only a few times a month. It will take some time for your hair to adjust, but you will notice an increased softness to your hair.
Don’t Use Heat
Avoid using heat on your hair to prevent from breakage and split ends. Blow dry your hair on the cool setting or try a no-heat method, like braiding your hair before you go to sleep. Use a cotton shirt instead of a towel to dry your hair as the cotton absorbs the water, preventing from frizz.
Avoid Using Chemicals
Avoid using dyes, sprays and other chemicals that cause damage. Use natural products free from harmful chemicals that won’t cause your hair to dry out.
Using the right Shampoo
The type of shampoo you use has a big affect on the health of your hair. What may work for someone else may not be right for you. Just because a friend has a similar hair type, doesn’t mean that same product will work for you.

Drinking plenty of water and keeping your hair hydrated is a no brainer way to keeping your hair looking healthy and beautiful. Avoid sugary and over-caffeinated drinks that can affect the oil producing glands in your scalp. Drink at least an 8 oz. glass of water a day.
